Lancome Skincare Review | Hydra Zen + Hydra Zen Nuit Moisturizers
Hey everybody, I thought I would do a review on my daily moisturisers that Ive been using recently. I'm only started properly having a daytime and nighttime skin care regime. Before cleansers, toners and serums I just used to use face wipes and a moisturiser. Now my Skin care routine involves so many more steps and I'm seeing the results.
Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm (£38 for 50ml) is designed to soothe and hydrate skin. Its enriched with with Rose de France, Mu Dan Pi and Moringa extract. It contains an SPF 15 to help protect against UVB rays with UVA protection. The brand claims that your skin will feel soft, plumped up with moisture and radiant.
I have a normal to oily skin type but now that we are going into the winter months I'm much more normal and occasional get the odd dry patches on my cheeks. Ive been using this lancome product as my morning moisturiser before I put on my makeup for the last couple of months now. I like the fact it has SPF in it so it protects my skin from the harmful rays of the sun. The product itself comes in a glass jar with a pink screw top lid (absolutely love the packaging) and its quite a thick, creamy moisturiser which I don't like I much prefer my day moisturiser to be more fluid in consistency. It takes a while to set in to the skin but I put this on my face then I'll do my hair and by the time I'm fished it has absorbed right in to my skin.
It has a very light perfume-y smell when in the jar; which I quite like; but the smell disappears once on your face. Overall I did like the product however I felt that it was too thick for daily use on my skin type I much prefer having light skincare products on my face during the day and at night I layer them on.
Lancome Hydra Zen Nuit Neurocalm (£40 for 50ml) is a night treatment that boosts the skin’s natural defences and strengthens it against the effects of daily stress. It claims that as soon as it is applied, Your skin is immediately and intensely moisturised, soft, comfortable and soothed. Signs of fatigue built up during the day seem to disappear. when you apply it in the morning your skin looks relaxed, it is fresher, better moisturised and intensely eased of stress. And after countious use the skin’s natural self-defence potential is recharged. The skin feels strengthened against the effects of daily stress.
The smell of this moisturiser is different from the other lancome moisturiser this one has a much more herbal scent to it. I still like it and again the scent does not linger. The consitency of the Hydra Zen Nuit Neurocalm is the same as the day moisturiser (thick and creamy).
Overall I really really liked this moisturiser my skin felt amazing in the morning and I dont mind thick moisturisers in the evening my moto is the thicky the better because I love layering them on.
I will be repurchasing the full size.

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick | New Black
17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in New Black £4.29. Where to buy: Boots |
I have been absolutely loving the vampy lip trend this autumn/winter. I didn't know whether this trend was going to suit me so I decided that I would spend my boots point on trying this daring shade. After lots of searching I stumbled a cross 17 lasting fix lipstick in New black, it seemed to be what I was looking for so I got it.
For the lipstick itself , its quite a nice lipstick over all. The staying power is good but I expect that in a darker shade. The lipstick is not drying on the lips, good colour payoff. Packaging well blah but you get what you pay for with packaging.

Glitter Lashes
Glitter lashes are perfect for a bonfighter night party and the Christmas season, to be honest you can rock where ever. There really easy to create by really messy but if you have a face wipe at hand you'll be alright.
Step 1: Start with mascara free lashes
Step 2: Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes. Act fast because mascara needs to be wet for glitter to stick on to.
Step 3: using an eyeshadow brush dip it in glitter and dap on the lashes. After I did that I wasn't happen with the results so i applied liquid eyeliner on top of my lashes and applied more glitter that gave me better results (more glittery lashes).
You can change it up by using a different colour glitter (I used a gold colour) or glitter that has bigger specks.

Lancome Rouge in love lipstick | Corail in Love
Lancome Rouge in love lipstick in Corail in love (£21.00). Available from Boots |
This lipstick has fab packaging, I absolute love it. Ive been looking for a pinky coral that isn't too in your face and this colour fits that bill. The colour payoff is superb and its not at all drying on the lips it has a really nice light feel. It goes on smoothly and evenly leaving your lips with a smooth kissable colour. I will be buying more shades soon but as they are priced at £21.00 I have to save up first ha ha.

Soap and glory's The fab pore facial peel Review
Soap and Glory's The fab pore facial peel (£8.00) is an intensive action pore refining facial peel. I think there's alot of people out there like me who suffer from enlarged pores. People say its genetic passed on from your mother or father; well that maybe so but it doesn't stop me from wanting to shrink the things. It contains Soap and Glory's exclusive PORESHRINK-R COMPLEX (I don't have a clue either). Basically its for those who have misbehaving skin which I think can safely say is most of us. Its ideal for greasy, spot zone, problem skin or for attacking our skin when it acts up.
It comes in a round container with a screw top lip which fits quite tightly on top so you can throw it around if you wanted to and none of the product will come out. You get 50 grams worth of product which at first may not seem alot but when you sit down and work it out you only need a grape sized amount to do your whole face and its a treatment so you will but only be using it twice a week, you don't actually used that much. Ive had it for a few weeks now and i haven't even scratched the surface, the first two uses of this products were just using what was on the lid.
It has a sort of minty, fresh scent to it (I'm really bad at describing scents). The product is white and creamy in consistent and has specks of green little balls which dissolve when you work the product around your face. Its a mask but you have to dissolve all the green balls before you let the product sit I think this acts as an exfoliatant so that the product can work deeper. You can leave the product on your face for five minutes for alittle refresher or fifteen minutes for a deep cleaning. The instructions are as follows: Rub a grape-sized dollop into your face and massage in circles until the green beads have all dissolved. (those with a high tendency for clogging should concentrate on their t-zone, chin, or areas with large, open, or problem pores). Rinse well.
Now Ive talked alot about what this products looks and smell like but that means nothing if it actually doesn't work. So what I first notice when I put this product on is the tingly sensation that you get from it i usually don't like the sensation because it usually starts to feel like its burning your skin but this product didn't really have this feeling for me. Now I'm not a skin specialist nor do i have a super doper magnifying mirror to see if this product actually works but to what I see when I look in the mirror I'm actually seeing quite a big difference. I can still use my pores but I more happy with the size of them. Now this products claims to shrink pores not make them disappear and to my knowledge it has deliver that however I am using a whole host of products and to suggest this is the one to shrink my pores or not I cant say for defiant but Im pretty sure it is because Im not using another other product which is actually designed to target emlarged pores. But I love the way my skin feels after using it. My skin feels really refreshed and clean.

Favourite Hairstyle for in between washes
So we know that its not good for our hair to wash it every day so we near cute hairstyles to cover up the hot mess. One of my favourite hairstyle for second day hair and most commonly wore is the high messy bun. It is quick and simple and your hair can look great in a matter of minutes.
High Messy Bun:
Ive been really wanting to try a hair perfume later, Ive found this one at house of Frasier recently by Thierry Mugler. Have you tried a hair perfume/mist?
