L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Varish in RivegaucheGreen

Loreal Color Riche nail polish in Rivegauchegreen (£4.99) is a olive green. I have been literally obsessed with olive green nails at the moment, I think it just a really cool unusual new colour that has just popped out of no where (well for me anyway). Now its everywhere Ive seen a similar colour by Revlon called Spanish Moss (I really want this one), and an Essie nail polish in Sew Psyched (want this one also). I'm a true believer that you can never have too many nail polishes in similar shades.

The nail varnish is completely opaque after two coats; that's how many coats I applied in the photos below. The formula was a nice consistency, some nail varnishes have a too thick of consistency or a too watery consistency which this nail varnish is neither. It applied evenly and I didn't have to do to much cleaning after myself, I'm quite a messy nail varnish applicator.

Are you liking the olive green nail trend ?

TAG: Get to know me

  1. Are you named after anyone? Kind of. My mum got the idea of calling me Ella from the legendary Jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald but I don’t think I’m named after her. My Mum seems to do that a lot she got the idea for my little sisters name from a TV show.
  2. When was the last time you cried? Yesterday. I’m watching Grey’s anatomy on re-run and one of my favourite characters got shot.
  3. Do you have kids? No! But I want some in the future.
  4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? Depends. I’m a really quiet person and it takes a lot for me to be friends with someone not because I don’t wanna be friends with them it’s just because I have zero confidence. But however once you do get to know I’m the loudest person ever. Weird huh.
  5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Not really.
  6. Will you ever bungee-jump? I like to think that I would one day but seriously I pee myself when I jump off things like miniature walls so I would  like to said yes but probably no I wouldn’t bungee jump. But it on my bucket list still.
  7. What's your favourite cereal? Anything coated in sugar, lots and lots of sugar !!! Like frosted flakes, Frosted shreddies, wheatabix with lots and lots of sugar on.
  8. What's the first thing you notice about people? Hate to said it but it's appearance. If I see a good looking guy walking down the street my eyes will follow (I’m single so its allowed). But it's the first thing I notice about people for a split second then it's their teeth. Yes I said teeth. I hate looking into people eyes if I don’t know them very well so I look at their teeth and Im short (4 foot 11 exactly) so I can get away with it well I think so.
  9. What is your eye colour? Blue.
  10. Scary movie or happy endings? Scary Movies the more over kill the better!
  11. Favourite smells? Air Wick Freesia & Jasmine.
  12. Summer or winter?  Winter. Simply because I can get warm in winter but I can’t get cool in summer.
  13. What's the furthest you've ever been from home?  South Africa for a family holiday five years ago cannot wait to go back greatest holiday EVER!!!!!!!!!. Away from my family Stoke-on-Trent I lived away from home for University.
  14. Do you have any special talents? No. But I like to think I have a hidden talent that’s gonna make me lots and lots of money.
  15. Do you think money is happiness? Haha did not read this question before I answered the last question. No I don’t think money is happiness it just makes life a hell of a lot easier.
  16. What are your hobbies? Blogging and Stamp collection (don’t laugh) but it is really interesting to have stamps from all over the world.
  17. Do you have any pets? No. I don’t like animals
  18. Favourite movie? My favourite group of movies are the Die Hard. I love action movies and Bruce Willis. And my favourite stand alone movies are Titanic, Forest Gump and Braid maids but there are some many more I love movies.
  19. Do you have any siblings? Yes, two older brothers, an older sister and a younger sister.
  20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Well technical I am all grown up but I still hold on to the dream of being a Hollywood actress one day.
Hope you all enjoyed reading abit about me x

Maybelline Forever Strong Pro Nail Varish in Ceramic Blue

Maybelline Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish in Ceramic Blue (£4.09) is a true pale baby blue. Ceramic Blue is similar to Chanel’s Riva nail varnish, Illamasqua caress, Jessica's Bikini blue, and Revlon's blue lagoon so if you have any of these or other baby blue shades I wouldn’t recommend getting the nail varnish. The colour is nice but isn’t anything exceptional that you can’t get anywhere else.

You will need at least two coats of this nail varnish to get an opaque finish; I put on three just for that little bit extra opaqueness (is this even a word).  The formula I found to be quite runny so I had to be abit more careful not to get too much on the brush. The drying time was no longer than usual, I paint my nail when I’m watching Hollyoaks so each layer is completely dry before I put another layer on and by the time Hollyoaks is finished I’m finished (My little measurement tool).

I wore this polish and it far exceeded the time it was chip free than other nail varnishes that I had tried before.  It lasted a good 4 days without chipping and that is good for me. I’ve been known to have chipped nails the night I’ve painted them.  Also worth mentioning is that the brush on the nail polish is nice, it not too big and it not to small it fits the nail well and takes me three swipes to do an entire nail but I’m just a perfectionist.

Sanctuary Polishing Hot Cloth Cleasner

Cleanse with this Sanctuary brightening facial favourite. This cleanser opens pores to deep cleanse, while also acting as a gentle exfoliator to help stimulate circulation. Leaves your complexion glowing with the radiance of a spa facial. Sanctuary Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser (£10.20)  is very similar to the cult product Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. The directions to use this product is very similar to the Liz Earle product,
1. Place the cloth in hot water, wring out and lay over the face to open pores.
2. Gently massage the creamy cleanser over the face and neck using circular movements.
3. Carefully polish off the cleanser using the warm cloth, be gentle around the delicate eye area.
4. Rinse cloth in cold water, and place over face for 30 seconds to close pores.
5. Finish by splashing your face with cool water. Pat dry gently.

The first thing I have to note about this product is the smell of it it isn't the most appealing. I can tolerant the smell, I only notice the scent when I’m applying it, but it doesn’t linger once I’ve rinsed the product off. So you cant smell it on your skin during the day so the smell wont stop me purchasing this product again. The consistency of the cleanser is thick and creamy and it feels quite moisturising and it has a light exfoliation when you use the muslin cloth. This cleanser is now a night time skincare staple of mine it removes all my face and eye makeup. It contains Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) seed butter which is a Surfactant Cleansing Agent which cleans skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away. I will be repurchasing this product again and it is quickly becoming one of my cult products.

Before- Full face of makeup

During - Rubbing the cleanser in. Do your eyes last for obvious reasons

After: Clean skin, no trace of makeup
